Pediatric & General Dermatologist

Dr. Pearl Kwong MD PhD is a distinguished board-certified dermatologist and clinical research principal investigator in Jacksonville, Florida with over three decades of experience, renowned for her expertise in pediatric and adult dermatology. Her academic pursuits led her to achieve a PhD in Immunology and Microbiology from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, preceded by a Bachelor of Science from the same institution. Her journey in medicine began at the University of Alberta Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry, where she earned her Medical Degree, following which she completed a Pediatric Specialty Training at the University of Alberta. Dr. Kwong furthered her education with a Dermatology Residency at McGill University in Montreal, Canada.

Throughout her illustrious career, Dr. Kwong has held esteemed academic positions, including Assistant Professor roles at prominent institutions such as the Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh and the Nemours Children’s Health System, as well as the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida. In 2006, she founded her private dermatology practice in Jacksonville, where she continues to provide exceptional care to patients of all ages, with a particular emphasis on pediatric dermatology.

Dr. Kwong’s dedication to advancing the field of dermatology is reflected in her ongoing involvement as principal investigator in clinical trials research and her role in educating future dermatologists as a mentor and teacher to dermatology residents. Her commitment to teaching excellence was recognized with the Teacher of the Year Award at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville in 2004.

As a leader in her field, Dr. Kwong is actively engaged in several professional societies, including the American Academy of Dermatology, the Society for Pediatric Dermatology, the Women’s Dermatologic Society, and the Jacksonville Dermatologic Society. Her contributions to these organizations and her continuous pursuit of knowledge underscore her passion for dermatology and commitment to improving patient outcomes through education, research, and clinical practice.

Dr. Kwong is a Board Certified Pediatric Dermatologist who provides Dermatologic care for the whole family, adults and children. Dr. Kwong is currently accepting new patients at our Jacksonville location.
