Dermal filler injection treatments for the rejuvenation of facial skin, such as Radiesse, presently rank as the second most popular non-surgical cosmetic dermatology treatments in the country after Botox. How long does Radiesse Dermal Filler Last

Radiesse is a robust dermal filler injectable treatment that has received FDA approval for adding temporary fullness to depleted areas of the face as well as mitigating the effects of aging on the facial skin.

Calcium hydroxylapatite is the main component in Radiesse. This ingredient differentiates Radiesse from various other dermal fillers and offers more sustainable outcomes with a single treatment administered in-office.

Other than providing longer lasting outcomes, Radiesse injections create more natural looking results by filling in deep creases and wrinkles in various facial areas from within.

Suncoast Skin Solutions, led by board certified dermatologist Dr. Christopher Ewanowski, provides Radiesse dermal filler treatment to patients in Tampa, Brandon, Lutz, Seminole, Riverview, Brooksville, Winter Haven, Daytona Beach, Largo, St. Petersburg, Ocala, The Villages Central Florida, Florida, and surrounding communities.

Calcium Hydroxylapatite

Calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) is a synthetic yet entirely biocompatible component that has been used effectively and safely by medical practitioners for over the past two decades. The Radiesse gel contains microspheres of 25 to 45 diameter CaHA microns that are suspended in it.

This gel is then administered underneath the skin via tiny injections. Radiesse offers facial enhancement by mitigating the appearance of moderate to severe facial creases and folds. Patients experiencing loss in facial fat because of disease or other factors may also find Radiesse to be beneficial.

Radiesse dermal filler provides sustainable improvement in various facial sites to address issues such as nasolabial folds and glabellar lines.

Radiesse also offers sub-dermal support to areas such as the tear troughs, brows, perioral area, nose, oral commissures, lips, chin and marionette lines. Furthermore, it is effective in softening the appearance of saucerized acne scars.

Longevity of Results

A single Radiesse injectable filler medical spa treatment can offer the patient anti-aging results that last for up to two years. A standard dermal filler injectable treatment comprising hyaluronic acid typically provides results with longevity of six months to one year. Radiesse outcomes last longer due to the presence of CaHA microspheres which help the volume from the treatment sustain for an extended period.

When injected in the form of small microspheres, Radiesse provides a type of scaffolding that prompts the development of fresh tissue which is similar to the surrounding tissue.

After the CaHA particles reach the deeper layers of the dermis, it promotes the production of new collagen and elastin fibers. Radiesse creates this new fibroblastic in-growth without calcification which offers the patient more sustainable and natural outcomes.

New collagen production offers volume to the deep tissue within the treated areas. This offers the dual benefits of instant volumizing as well as the production of new collagen over an extended period, making the outcomes of Radiesse more sustainable than average dermal fillers.

Touch-ups with Radiesse

Radiesse offers another benefit which is that after a gel syringe is opened, the material that remains unused after the first treatment can be recapped and stored for the same patient. This material can then be administered to the same patient within the following three months.
