William A. Welton III, M.D.
William A. Welton III, M.D., is a board-certified dermatologist born in Beaufort, South Carolina. He earned a B.S. in Pharmacy from West Virginia University (1980), an M.S. in Pharmaceutical Administration from The Ohio State University (1985), and his M.D. from Marshall University (1991). Dr. Welton completed a Family Medicine internship at Marshall University Hospital (1991) and a Dermatology residency at West Virginia University (1992–1995). He is licensed in West Virginia and Florida, certified by the American Board of Dermatology, and a diplomate of the National Board of Medical Examiners. His professional affiliations include the Christian Medical and Dental Society, Citrus County Medical Society, Florida Medical Association, American Society for Mohs Surgery, and he is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American and Florida Societies for Dermatologic Surgery. He is also a member of the Rho Chi honor society.
