She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry/Cellular and Molecular Biology from the University of Tennessee and graduated summa cum laude while working full time. She obtained her Medical Doctorate from East Tennessee State University James H Quillen College of Medicine, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha honor society for her outstanding academic achievement, leadership, and volunteer endeavors. Dr. Cooper completed her internship and residency at Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville and served as Chief Resident during her final year. Her training included working at all three Mayo Clinic sites with vast exposure to adult and pediatric dermatology under the guidance of world-renowned experts in the field who also encouraged her passion for teaching.
Upon graduation Dr. Cooper joined Dermatology Associates of Tallahassee and helped start their Jacksonville branch while also serving as faculty for the Florida State University residency program. After 5 years with the practice she relocated to East TN to be closer to family and practiced in a small community until life brought her back to her home in Jacksonville.
Dr Cooper graduated from FL Physician leadership academy in 2024 and held several leadership roles including co-President of Jacksonville Dermatology Society. She is thrilled to be back in North FL where she will continue to provide high quality dermatologic care to the community she considers her home.
