Ivette M. Sosa Seda, MD
Ivette M. Sosa Seda, MD, FAAD is a board-certified dermatologist and Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology with over 13 years of experience in medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. She earned her Bachelor of Science with Honors and graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine before completing her Dermatology Residency at the University of Puerto Rico. She subsequently pursued advanced specialty training in Clinical Dermatology at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota.
Following her training, Dr. Sosa Seda joined Mayo Clinic as an Assistant Clinical Professor of Dermatology, where she educated and supervised dermatology residents and physician assistants while maintaining an active clinical practice. Her academic and research interests have led to multiple publications in peer-reviewed medical journals, reflecting her commitment to advancing the field of dermatology and providing evidence-based patient care.
Dr. Sosa Seda specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of dermatologic conditions, including eczema, psoriasis, acne, rosacea, hidradenitis suppurativa, alopecia, autoimmune skin disorders, and complex cutaneous drug reactions. She also has extensive experience in skin cancer detection and prevention, providing comprehensive skin examinations and surveillance for patients at increased risk for melanoma and other skin cancers.
For the past nine years, Dr. Sosa Seda has proudly served patients throughout Jacksonville and St. Augustine. She is dedicated to creating a welcoming, compassionate, and professional environment where patients of all ages receive personalized care tailored to their individual needs. Fluent in both English and Spanish, Dr. Sosa Seda believes in building lasting relationships with her patients, empowering them through education, and partnering with them to achieve lifelong skin health.
