Elek Wellman, MD

Elek Wellman, MD, attended the University of Notre Dame and graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience & Behavior in 2018. Dr. Wellman graduated from his hometown medical school, Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, in 2022. While in medical school, he served as his class president each of his first three years and student body president during his final year. Before graduation, he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha National Medical Honor Society. Dr. Wellman completed his internship and dermatology residency at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in 2026. Dr. Wellman’s practice mostly focuses on skin cancer, skin cancer screenings, and medical dermatology. When not in the office, Dr. Wellman enjoys spending time with family and friends, fishing, working out at the gym, and playing hockey at local ice rinks.
