Dr. Brittony Blakey, D.O., is a board-certified dermatologist and dermatologic surgeon and a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology. She earned her undergraduate degree from Ohio University and her osteopathic medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine, where she was a member and Vice President of Sigma Sigma Phi Honors Fraternity.
Following medical school, Dr. Blakey served as an active-duty Army Medical Officer. She completed her internship and dermatology residency at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center before serving as a staff dermatologist at Martin Army Hospital in Fort Benning, Georgia. During her military service, she held leadership positions as Chief of the Department of Dermatology and Chief of the Department of Medicine.
Dr. Blakey was also an Adjunct Faculty member for the Academy of Health Sciences, where she taught and precepted physician assistant students, medical students, and Family Medicine residents. Her military service earned her numerous honors, including a Meritorious Service Medal, two Army Achievement Medals, an Army Superior Unit Award, and multiple awards recognizing her leadership and excellence in teaching.
Dr. Blakey has been recognized as one of Virginia’s Top Doctors in Dermatology for 2025 and 2026 by Virginia Business. She provides care for both adult and pediatric patients and is committed to delivering knowledgeable, personalized dermatologic care. She specializes in medical and surgical dermatology.
