Allison Lowie, DNP, FNP-BC

Allison Lowie, DNP, FNP-BC, FAADNP, is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with extensive experience in medical dermatology and a strong commitment to patient education and skin cancer prevention. She has practiced dermatology since 2012 and has cared for patients of all ages in outpatient dermatology practices, as well as skilled nursing and assisted living settings.

Allison earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nursing with honors from the University of Florida before completing her Doctor of Nursing Practice with honors and a dermatology residency at the University of South Florida. Her clinical background also includes internal medicine, urgent care, medical-surgical nursing, and aesthetic medicine, where she gained experience with laser technologies and cosmetic procedures.

Throughout her career, Allison has demonstrated a commitment to advancing dermatologic care and educating other healthcare professionals. She has served in professional leadership roles, including as a board member of the National Academy of Dermatology Nurse Practitioners, and has been a nurse practitioner preceptor for multiple colleges and universities. She has also presented nationally through lectures, workshops, webinars, and podcasts on topics including acne, psoriasis, eczema, rosacea, dermatopathology, skin cancer detection, and dermatologic procedures.

Allison is a Fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology Nurse Practitioners and a member of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing, Phi Kappa Phi, the Dermatology Nurses Association, and the American Nurses Association. She has also participated in skin cancer screening initiatives through the American Academy of Dermatology and Moffitt Mole Patrol, as well as medical mission trips to Ecuador. Outside of the office, Allison enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, fishing, golfing, and playing pickleball.
